Dora Budor (b. 1984, Croatia) is a New York-based artist and writer. Trained as an architect, Budor surveys the sites where the built world and private life work upon one another. Focusing on the inevitable encroachment of commercial relations, her work observes the constructed environment and forms of psychosocial control induced by it, honing in on the dissolution of life as a shared and consistent social form. In her style of working within a wide material range – including sculpture, video, installation, sound and curation – exhibitions are conceived contingent on the context.
